Make your house noise proof

Sounds are common in the home ambience. The TV could be in the living room or the music system can be blasting from the other room. The maid could be rinsing the steel utensils in the kitchen and your dog could be barking at something at the window. If your home is not furnished or designed in the right way, all these sounds may cause noise which can get irritating to the ears and you may have to install sound proofing tiles.

Bouncing Pitch

Sounds also require a place of their own. If they don’t get a place to rest in, they bounce back noisily. Sounds enjoy soft and absorbent places. Hard surfaces bounce back sound waves while soft surfaces absorb the decibel level. Sound easily echoes off glass surfaces with the use of a mass loaded vinyl sound barrier.

Carpet Cancelling

Wood and carpet assist in absorbing sound. Spread a big carpet in the living room and cushions of dense fabric on your sofa. Put potted plants or big urns in the corner of the rooms. If you have a book case, keep small figurines on the shelves. Moreover, if you have much space, add shelves on the wall and fill them up with plants, books and artifacts made from wood instead of those made of metal, ceramic and glass. You may also use noise barrier backed composites.

Kitchen essentials

In the kitchen, throw a couple of washable floor rugs on the floor. Have herbs or potted plants and in case if you have a bookshelf, put plants and cookbooks on the shelves. If your kitchen cupboards are made of wood, they will assist to absorb sound conveniently. However, if they have a mica surface, eve the sound from your blender can sound grind your ears. Put anything porous, such as lamps or stone tables, to soak up sounds like sound insulation panels
